Eliza
Sydnor has been riding since she was born. She competed in her first
dressage competition at age six on a wonderful old Quarter Horse
mare named Mother Goose. With her next horse, a QH gelding named Slo
Blazing Brook, Eliza had daily instruction from her mother and began
to progress through the levels. “Brookie” and Eliza did a little bit
of everything from jumping to herding cattle to vaulting to dressage
up to Fourth level. When she was fifteen Eliza got her current
horse, Lancer, a Dutch Warmblood. It was this incredible horse that
made her want to begin studying dressage much more seriously. With
her mother’s guidance Eliza has trained Lancer to Grand Prix in the
eight years they have been together. Eliza and Lancer were the
Region 1 Reserve Champions at the I-1 in 2005.
Eliza
continues to have daily instruction from her mother. She also spent
three winters in California training with Lilo Fore. In the winter
of 2002, Eliza was a working student for Jennifer Baumert in
Florida. She
has
ridden in many clinics with Walter Zettl and was a working student
for Klaus Balkenhol in Germany during the winter of '04/'05.
Currently Eliza is training as often as possible with Scott Hassler
of Hilltop Farm.
In 2003,
Eliza was one of four Advanced Young Riders selected to participate
in The Dressage Foundation's Advanced Young Riders European
Training/Education Trip. To read more about her experiences, please

Eliza is a
USDF Certified Instructor through 4th level. She enjoys teaching
very much and works with many pony clubbers and adult amateurs.
Eliza has horses in training at all levels, but especially enjoys
working with young horses. She starts young horses for Lucile Broadley at Honey Locust Farm in Chapel Hill, NC. In 2005, Eliza
was selected as one of the participants in the Young Horse Dressage
Trainers' Symposium at Hilltop Farm.
Eliza
is spending the 2007-2008 winter in Hopkins SC, training and
teaching full-time. She is reachable on
