The Facilities
Braeburn Farm is situated on 500 acres of rolling hills in the Piedmont
of central North Carolina. We are halfway between Greensboro and Raleigh,
only 15 minutes off of Interstates 40 and 85. There are approximately
100 acres of hardwood forest and 400 acres of fescue and clover grass.
The barn is comfortable, airy, and bright with 9 stalls bedded in straw.
There is a hot/cold wash stall, heated tackroom, and feed room. The majority
of the horses live in a 20 acre pasture with two ponds and a run in shed.
There are 4 smaller paddocks (1.5 acres each) by the barn each with a
run in shed.
Clean well
water from a year-round "Jug" waterer is centrally located in the
pasture.

There is a 20 x 60 meter sand and rubber outdoor
arena. The arena has beautiful mirrors on the short side by C. We try
to get our horses “out” as much as possible to work in our many fields
and use our wonderful hills for conditioning and for fun!
There is a 4 bedroom, 1 bath
bunkhouse with small kitchen and living room near the barn. This is where
working students usually live as well as visiting students t hat are
staying for a few days.
